ILC to team up with MS Society

SIOUX FALLS COMPANY SIGNS CONTRACT WITH NATIONAL MS SOCIETY TO HELP PEOPLE LIVING WITH MS
Independent Living Choices Becomes First Company in South Dakota to Team up with the Society to Offer Coordinated MS Services

Sioux Falls, SD (April 4, 2019) – Independent Living Choices has signed an agreement with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to provide case management services for people living with multiple sclerosis (MS) in South Dakota. This is the first time the Society has partnered with an agency in the state.
Under the agreement, the Society will refer people in need of an in-person case manager to Independent Living Choices, which in turn will help manage access to local resources on a personalized level.
“The partnership of Independent Living Choices and the National MS Society creates a valuable opportunity to raise awareness of the wide array of services available here in South Dakota,” said Matt Cain, CEO of Independent Living Choices. “We look forward to expanding our reach throughout the state to help people living with MS access the services they need to lead independent lives.”
“People living with MS are sometimes faced with complex and challenging situations that threaten their ability to live independently,” said Cyndi Zagieboylo, the Society’s President and CEO. “By partnering with Independent Living Choices, we can provide people living with MS access to experts on services and resources to meet their individual needs where they live. Our mission at the Society is to help people with MS live their best lives and helping them live independently goes a long way to achieving that goal.”
To access the Society’s case management service, call 1-800-344-4867 and ask for an MS Navigator.

ABOUT INDEPENDENT LIVING CHOICES
Independent Living Choices was established in 1982 as a 501 (c) (3) private, non-profit organization. The founders believed in the human value, contribution and spirit of people who have significant disabilities. They believed that all people, regardless of disability, should have the right to determine how and where they want to live. The Center was established to provide basic skills which so many take for granted like the ability to take care of our own needs and to make our own decisions – to be independent.

ABOUT THE NATIONAL MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS SOCIETY
The Society mobilizes people and resources so that everyone affected by multiple sclerosis can live their best lives as we stop MS in its tracks, restore what has been lost and end MS forever. Last year, the Society invested $35 million in MS research with more than 340 active projects around the world. Through its comprehensive nationwide network of services, the Society is focused on helping people affected by MS connect to the people, information and resources needed to live their best lives. We are united in the collective power to do something about MS now and end this disease forever. Learn more at nationalMSsociety.org.
